Day 1 - Home to Toowoomba - Sunday 30 July


Our holiday adventure to SA has begun - here we are at the very beginning with the van hitched and ready to roll away from home. A comfortable trip to Toowoomba arriving at the "Balanga Resort" in time for lunch. Patch has been getting re-aquainted with Lilly May and is now being bathed as Grandma didn't get around to it before we left. Aunty Jess was disappointed as she wanted her farewell memory of Patch to be the smell of freshly bathed dog!

Day 2 - Toowoomba - Monday 31 July

Restful day in Toowoomba after a chilly night but we slept inside and not in the van. Think we might have some cold nights as we head south and west. Patch will be very welcome as a living hot water bottle. Van inspection this morning by a dear friend Jean Gordon. She and her husband Alec had done quite a bit of touring with a van. Alec had hoped to see our van at some stage but sadly we didn't get to show him as he passed away in February while we were away on our last SE Australia circuit. Jean was thrilled to have a close look to see how things have moved on with vans and was especially impressed by the washing machine. Then this afternoon one of our nieces, Christine, had a van tour and got all excited - asked if next time we were in Toowoomba could she try towing it down the street! Tomorrow we are off to Top Tourist Park in Goondiwindi.
